Science Education at the Crossroads

Conference Program

2008 Conference Details

Although a full program is yet to be detailed, a typical Crossroads conference begins on a Thursday evening with a reception, activity (e.g., My Favorite Poem reading), and orientation to the conference format. The following day will open with a keynote presentation by Heidi Carlone (University of North Caroline at Greensboro) and continue with Incubator sessions in which Vexations & Ventures are presented. Our invited poet, David Lee, is scheduled for a reading that evening, and Incubator sessions continue the following day. A group Town Hall concludes the conference. (This year's final gathering may include a catered mountain cookout on the patio of Alta Lodge.)

Also embedded into a Crossroads program are many opportunities to continue conversations over breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as during other planned breaks. In 2008 we hope that you may be continuing conversations while strolling along an aspen lined trail while surrounded by granite peaks. Details of these possibilities will follow.
